Q: How can I sign up to play hockey?

Please Pre-Register online (click here) or call our main office at 215-952-5271.

Q: Does it cost anything to register?

No. All Snider Hockey programming is offered at no cost to our students.

Q: I've never skated before. Can I still participate?

Of course! The majority of our students have never been on the ice prior to their first Learn to Play practice with Snider Hockey.

Q: How old do you have to be to sign up?

Students must be between the ages of 5-18 and must currently be attending school to be eligible to register with Snider Hockey.

Q: Can girls play?

Absolutely! We have lots of female participants.

Q: I have a friend that wants to participate. Can I bring them to the rink with me?

Anyone who is interested in Pre-Registering with Snider Hockey should sign-up online (click here) or call our main office at 215-952-5271. Friends and family members are more than welcome to watch practices and games.

Q: What should I bring to the rink on my first day?

New students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on their first day so they can complete the Snider Hockey application and waiver form. You must also bring a copy of your most recent report card. If you don't have a copy of your report card, we can make one for you.

Q: Do I need to bring any hockey equipment to practice?

If you already have your own hockey equipment, you may bring it with you to your Snider Hockey practices. If you don't have any hockey equipment, Snider Hockey will provide it!

Q: What should I wear?

You should wear something comfortable underneath your hockey gear such as sweatpants and a t-shirt. Most students bring a change of clothes to wear under their equipment. Baggy clothing is not recommended.

Q: I'm interested in coaching with Snider Hockey. Who do I contact?

Please see our employment and volunteer pages if you are interested in coaching with Snider Hockey.

Q: I don't have any hockey experience, but I'd still like to volunteer. How can I help?

Snider Hockey relies on volunteers both on and off the ice. In addition to hockey practices, volunteers may assist with academic sessions, life skills exercises, nutrition classes, fitness training, assisting with special events, and more! Check out our volunteer page for more information.
