About the Challenge
The Snider Hockey In-Shore Fishing Challenge is a family-friendly, charitable fishing competition created and hosted by NHL Legend Bernie Parent. The Challenge, which is open to fishing aficionados of every level, combines Bernie’s passion for fishing with his enduring dedication to the Philadelphia Flyers community.

How Can I Participate?
Fishing aficionados of every level and age will have the opportunity to cast their lines for flounder, sea bass and most unusual fish on the in-shore waters of Cape May, New Jersey. Entrants may "BYOB" - Bring Your Own Boat, charter a boat, or join Flyer Alumni aboard the Atlantis, a 125ft party boat with fishing equipment, bait and expert captain instruction available.

Great! A Day of Fishing - Anything Else?
Yes! Following the day out on the water, all attendees are invited to return to Canyon Club Marina for a Live Weigh-In, Prize Ceremony, and pool-side BBQ Celebration. Mix and mingle with Bernie and his Flyer friends and recap the day sharing fishing tales of just how long that fish you caught really was!

Inclement Weather PolicyThe In-Shore Fishing Challenge is a "rain or shine" event. Inclement weather (thunderstorms) will be monitored carefully and if absolutely necessary, the event will be rescheduled for Saturday, June 15.

Prior to his passing, Ed Snider had the foresight to create an additional foundation that will allow us to continue the policy of matching every dollar received 2:1 - thereby tripling your impact on our deserving young people.
