A beautiful Friday in July could only mean one thing: the return of Bernie Parent’s Family Fishing Day! Thanks to presenting sponsor, the Chase Family, anglers and Snider students made their way down to Cape May for the seventh year to spend the day connecting and reeling in fish!

After beginning the day by boarding the Atlantis at Miss Chris Marina, our attendees spent three hours on the open ocean, where they quickly reeled in plenty of fish. Students and donors competed in four categories, largest bass (by weight), largest fish (by length), most unusual catch, and most enthusiastic catch across across two age brackets. Additionally, all attendees competed in a new category for 2025: best group attire.

After making their way back to shore, our attendees traveled to the Canyon Club Marina for a pool party. Flyers Play-by-Play Announcer Jim Jackson announced the winning anglers and lucky raffle winners. Each winner got their photo taken with Bernie Parent as well as some Snider gear to use on their next fishing trip!

Thank you to everyone who made this event such a fantastic day down the shore, including special guests Brian Propp, Ed Hospodar, and Jim Jackson and Tournament Director, Ryan Arcaini (Friends of Snider Leadership Committee Chair). Thank you to all sponsors and attendees for their generous support, in particular Canyon Club Marina, Miss Chris Marina, the Chase Family, Alumni Grill, and Bernie & Gini Parent for making this event possible! Through generosity of our donors, we were able to raise over $67,000 for Snider youth!
