Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education celebrated the Class of 2024 at our annual Senior Night on May 29. High school and postsecondary graduating seniors gathered in Clarkie’s at the Wells Fargo Center with their loved ones and a few special guests. Snider honored the tremendous seniors from the Class of 2024, which includes 75 high school and college graduates from schools and universities from across the region. This is one of Snider’s largest classes to date and many individuals within this class have been with Snider since the age of 5-years-old. Each student received graduation cords and a senior gift, and was honored with a slideshow, photo booth, and more!
For photos from the night, please see the album below!
Our seniors were recognized with a ceremony featuring members of the Snider community. Philadelphia Flyers Public Address Announcer Lou Nolan emceed the evening, welcoming current Flyers Center and Alternate Captain Scott Laughton to share his experience with leadership. Tarken Neighborhood Leader Joe Dorety announced the winner of the 2024 Ed Snider Leadership Award, Cheyanne Hainsworth. Cheyanne is currently a Junior Coach at Snider and plans to attend Lebanon Valley College in the fall. Solomon Johnson, a Snider Alumnus, spoke to the crowd about being true to themselves. Solomon recently gave his commencement speech at Kutztown University, where he was a Goals & Assists scholar. We were also very grateful to have Bernie Parent, Gritty, Jim Jackson, and Joe Watson join us to celebrate our students!
