Staff Spotlight – Isaiah Clark

Staff Spotlight – Isaiah Clark

Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education is proud of the work that our staff do on and off the ice. In order to spotlight the outstanding effort they put into the organization, we regularly interview a staff member about their time with Snider.

Our latest Staff Spotlight features Isaiah Clark, Photography & Videography Program Assistant. Isaiah is responsible for capturing much of the content you see on Snider social media channels and the website. Next time you see Isaiah at the rink, be sure to say hi!

How did you get involved in your field in the first place?
I always had an interest in photography growing up but I originally went into communications to become an admissions counselor until I got involved with the school’s tv station and fell in love with media production.

How did you first get involved with Snider?
I interned with Snider in 2021 my senior year of college. Then I got the opportunity to return in 2023 as a Program Assistant.

What is your favorite memory with Snider?
My favorite memory is going on a field trip to the Please Touch Museum with the mites during summer camp. I had never been and it was a unique place to photograph.

Who or what inspires you professionally?
I’m inspired by the idea that I can always get better and try new things. I never want to stagnate and stop improving.

What would you say is the best part of your job?
The best part is interacting with the students, I enjoy seeing them progress on and off the ice as they continue in the program.

What do you enjoy most about working with your colleagues?
Everyone is very friendly and accommodating when I stop by their programs. I really appreciate seeing how hard everyone is working to have a positive impact on the students’ lives

What’s one project or achievement that you’re particularly proud of?
I really like covering the Snider 3v3 Adult Ice Hockey Tournament last year. It was a long day but it was a fun time and I think we got some really great stuff from it (Like the baby in the 3v3 trophy).

What is one thing you have learned about yourself on the job?
Working with Snider has become more than a job, its a passion. Interacting with the students, families, and staff is very fulfilling. I love offering my time and I’d choose to do this over almost anything.
