Members of the Snider community came together this spring to support youth programming through the Snider 3v3 Adult Hockey Tournament, NHL Playoff Fantasy Draft, and 5th Annual Celebrity Bartending Event. Together, the three events raise more than $245,000 to support Snider’s youth development initiatives including education, life skills, scholarships, post-secondary preparation, and career success programs.
3v3 Adult Hockey Tournament
The 3rd Annual Snider 3v3 Adult Hockey Tournament took place at the Xfinity Mobile Arena on Saturday, March 28. Teams took to Philadelphia Flyers ice for an action-packed day of cross-ice competition, all while raising funds to support Snider student programs.
The event raised over $81,000, thanks to the generosity and commitment of participants and supporters. Off the ice, families and spectators enjoyed food, snacks, and opportunities to connect in the Shift4 Club, where Snider alumnus Noah Richardson performed throughout the day. Younger attendees also participated in games and activities held throughout the event.
Over 125 players competed across 18 teams in 4 brackets, with champions crowned at the conclusion of the tournament. Together, the energy on and off the ice created a memorable day in support of the Snider community.
Congratulations to the winning teams: Olympic Hockey Nuts (NHL Bracket Champions), The Siegfried Group (AHL Bracket Champions), and Turks Terrors (ECHL Bracket Champions)!
NHL Playoff Fantasy Draft
Snider Supporters gathered at Chickie’s & Pete’s in South Philadelphia on April 20 for the annual NHL Playoff Fantasy Draft.
17 teams built their playoff dream teams by drafting players competing in the Stanley Cup Playoffs while Flyers Legend Steve Coates kept the energy high throughout the evening. Attendees also enjoyed watching the Flyers defeat the Penguins in Game 2 alongside members of the Snider community and Flyers alumni.
Thank you to River Rock Academy, the event’s present sponsor, for helping make this year’s Fantasy Draft a success. In total, the event raised over $141,000 for Snider youth programming.
Celebrity Bartending Event
The 5th Annual Celebrity Bartending Event brought together Snider supporters, Philadelphia sports personalities, and community members for a fun-filled evening at Great American Pub in Wayne on May 12.
Celebrity bartenders and VIP guests included Joe Conklin, Doug Crossman, Todd Fedoruk, Jim Jackson, Glen Macnow, Neil Little, Lou Nolan, Brian Smith, Kimmo Timonen, Gini Parent, Jamie Pagliei “Philly Sports Guy,” and Joe Watson, who spent the night serving drinks, interacting with guest, and showing their support for Snider’s mission. Attendees also had the opportunity to connect with floating VIPs throughout the evening, helping create an energetic and memorable atmosphere.
Thanks to the incredible support of attendees, celebrity bartenders, and the Great American Pub in Wayne, this year’s event raised more than $23,000 to support Snider programming and opportunities for youth both on and off the ice.
