The third annual Snider Cup concluded on October 3 at Applebrook Golf Club with an exciting finale event. The Snider Cup is the unprecedented charitable four-course golf tour championship in the Philadelphia region. Team competition is comprised of individual one-day golf outings that take place at four of the region’s top golf clubs. This year’s tournament featured stops at Aronimink Golf Club (May 22), Llanerch Country Club (June 19), Gulph Mills Golf Club (July 17), and Applebrook Golf Club (October 3).

This unique charitable golf tournament benefits Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education (Snider).

Golfers have the opportunity to compete for prizes at each individual leg, as well as a grand prize and year-long bragging rights for the cumulative low net at the completion of the four rounds. Congratulations to the 2023 winners Team Independence Blue Cross (net) and Men of Iron (gross)!

Thanks to the generosity and foresight of the late Ed Snider, all donations and foursome registrations are matched 2:1. Ultimately, the 2023 tournament raised over $1.5 million for the under-resourced youth in Snider’s program. As the principal fundraiser for Snider, the tournament supports the vital academic achievement, hockey, life skills, scholarship, and career development programming for over 1,600 boys and girls. Since its inception in 2021, the Snider Cup raised over $4 million for Snider youth.

“Participation (in the Snider Cup) helps build the stories of thousands of students just like myself. I’m just one of the many thousands of students you impact by participating. Your continuous support helps build the lives of, not just myself, but kids years before me, and years to come after me.”

Zach Martin, Snider Alumnus

Thank you to everyone who supported the Snider Cup with foursomes, sponsorships, and in-kind donations.
