Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education distributed more than 175 turkeys and Thanksgiving dinner items to Philadelphia families who need it most. With each meal large enough to feed a family of six, 1,050 total individuals were impacted by the giveaway. Thanks to 80 donors who purchased a meal for a family in need, hundreds were able to get food on their tables and create meaningful holiday memories.
Snider staff volunteered throughout the day, helping to transport the meals from the Brown’s Super Store’s ShopRite and distribute them to the community. Thank you to ShopRite for providing these items at a discounted price! Flyers Hall-of-Fame goalie Bernie Parent lent a hand as well, greeting and taking pictures with the community members.
