The sixth annual Snider Cup came to a close at Aronimink Golf Club on October 12, celebrating another year of golf and giving back to the community. The 2026 tournament brought golfers together for four stops at Gulph Mills Golf Club (May 18), Huntington Valley Country Club (June 29), St. Davids Golf Club (September 21), and Aronimink Golf Club (October 12). Established in 2021, the Snider Cup is a unique charitable golf tour in the Philadelphia region that raises money for Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education (Snider). The tournament features team competition across four individual one-day golf outings held at some of the Philadelphia regions top golf clubs. Golfers have the opportunity to compete for prizes at each individual leg, as well as a grand prize for the cumulative low net at the completion of the four rounds.

Throughout the tournament, participants had the opportunity to hear from Snider students and alumni about the impact the program has had on their life. At the first leg at Gulph Mills Golf Club, Snider alumnus Carlos Rowland shared his experience about how Snider has helped him achieve his career goals. Snider Leadership Award winner Hashim Khan spoke at the Huntington Valley Country Club. At St. Davids Golf Club, Snider high school students participated in a golf clinic and a Careers in Sports Panel, while students welcomed golfers to the final leg at Aronimink Golf Club.

After four rounds of competition, Loftus Construction took home the overall net title, while Men of Iron claimed the overall gross title. The tournament concluded featuring a performance by the Greg Farnese Trio and comedian Joe Conklin, bringing participants together to celebrate another successful year of the Snider Cup.
Thanks to the generosity and foresight of the late Ed Snider, all donations and foursome registrations are matched 2:1, helping maximize the impact of every contribution. This year’s Snider Cup raised an incredible $1.7 million to support young people in underserved communities at Snider.

As Snider’s principal fundraiser, the Snider Cup helps support essential academic achievement, hockey, character development, scholarship, and career development programming for more than 1,600 boys and girls. Since its inception in 2021, the tournament has continued to bring the Philadelphia community together in support of
Snider’s mission to empower young people and create opportunities for success both on and off the ice.

Thank you to all tournament supporters!
