Anglers and Supporters of Snider Raise Over $60,000 for Snider Youth during Bernie Parent’s Family Fishing Day
Donors and Snider students made their way down the shore for Bernie Parent’s Family Fishing Day on July 19! Attendees spent the day out on the Atlantis, enjoying the spectacular weather and catching fish!
To start out the day, our anglers gathered at the Miss Chris Marina in Cape May. After departing on the Atlantis, our students learned how to fish from members of the crew and donors competed in largest catch competitions. Despite many of our students being new to the sport, they wasted no time reeling in fish!
After three hours of successful fishing, our attendees made their way to the Canyon Club Marina for a pool party and announcement of the contest winners. Bernie Parent interacted with attendees, signing memorabilia and sharing stories about their day on the water. After remarks from Philadelphia Flyers Public Address Announcer Lou Nolan and Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education COO Jan Koziara, Flyers Play-by-Play Announcer Jim Jackson revealed the winners from the day’s festivities.
Thank you to everyone who made this event such a fantastic day down the shore, including special guest Jim Kenney. Thank you to in-kind sponsors: Canyon Club Marina, Alumni Grill, Circle of Sound DJ, and Canal’s Rio Grande for their generous support. Through generosity of our donors, we were able to raise $63,462 for Snider youth!
