ABOUT THE EVENT
Join us down the shore on Friday, July 24 for the 9th Annual Bernie Parent Family Fishing Day on the in-shore waters of Avalon, NJ. This special event now serves as a tribute to the life and legacy of Bernie Parent, Snider’s #1 Ambassador, whose passion for fishing and unwavering dedication to the Philadelphia community inspired countless young people through Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education.
Led by Bernie’s wife, Gini Parent, who proudly carries forward his ambassadorial spirit, the day brings together fishing enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels in support of Snider’s mission. All proceeds benefit Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education.
Bring the whole family, a group of friends, or coworkers and join Gini Parent and special guests (to be announced). Participants will board the Miss Avalon at the Avalon Fishing Center and cast their lines for various prize categories, including sea bass, “most unusual” fish, and more. Following the afternoon on the water, anglers will gather for a dockside celebration at the Avalon Yacht Club as we honor Bernie’s enduring impact and continue the tradition he loved.

ALL PROCEEDS BENEFIT SNIDER
Proceeds of the Bernie Parent Family Fishing Day benefit Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education – an organization that provides hockey, education, life skills, and academic scholarship programming to under-resourced Philadelphia students at no cost. 100% of event proceeds benefit Snider programming and the Bernie Parent Goalie Development Program. Prior to his passing, Ed Snider had the foresight to create an additional foundation that allows Snider to continue the policy of matching every dollar received 2:1 – thereby tripling your impact on our deserving young people.
